But not long after, she passed on, way before he’s even past his quarter-life crisis mark. She left him.
Life moved on for him, he tried to pick himself up. But somewhere down the road of Life, he got lost. Wandering through the city walls alone, someone picked him up, cleaned him and gave him another chance.
When he was bereft of all happiness, it was that someone who made him realise, that the bright light that came in when he was in the dark, it was not to blind him, but to show him the way.
He learned to love, trust and finally opened himself up entirely to that person. And in turn, he wanted to be there for that person as well.
Life is no different from a book. Seasons change, people come and go. Whether they’re just a chapter in life or they’ll stay till the end, nobody really knows. But if there was one thing that he was sure of, all he wanted was just to stay till the end with this person.
” Take my hand, I’ll show you the way.” He said. ” I don’t need your sympathy or concern” said that someone. “What’s wrong?” Again he asked. Silent but surely, that person was never going to tell. How long more? Just how long more is it going to take for both of them to be honest with one another?
He could have left, but he didn’t. Not because he couldn’t live without that someone. But because he wouldn’t have lived if not for that someone.
” Trust me. Everything won’t be perfect, at some point you’ll feel pain, and there’ll be tears. Maybe at some point you’ll even regret and feel like leaving. But I’ll always be here for you, and that’s the honest truth
